Proof of Life is dedicated to my late cousin, Henry Gilbert.
This film is centered around my gratitude for life and the joy of living, taking place in the final month of my college experience. Henry passed away in 2020, just before I began at UCSB and before he started at the University of Oregon. Four years later, we would have been graduating in the same Spring of 2024. It takes an immense amount of strength to continue living after loss, and I choose to honor Henry’s life by continuing to live mine. I hope you feel inspired to live yours. I love you, Henry. Always.
